Thank you to everyone who came along to the Open House last weekend. I hope you had fun doing the Make ‘n’ Take and browsing through the new catalogue as well as checking all the retired stamp sets that you could get as part of my Buy One Get One Free promotion.

You could say that this was the calm before the storm. It certainly got a little busy down in my craft room later on in the day.
Some of my retired stamp sets that I had for sale. There were other things too such as card stock, dies and ink pads.

My display board with some of the cards that I had made. You will have seen a couple of them on this blog – but not all.

Everyone who came received a bookmark that I had made featuring the new 2015-2017 In Colors.  Has anyone figured out what their favourite one it yet? One of these will also be going out in the catalogues that are being posted to people today.

The Make ‘n’ Take was a stepped up version of one of the swaps I took to Telford with me.

Everyone could choose from making a card with a Watermelon Wonder (on left) or Cucumber Crush (on right) card base and they also had a choice of adding either a bird or apple. The stamp set is the Sprinkles of Life stamp set which has 22 stamps in it, including the apple and bird. All the envelopes and insides of the cards were decorated too.

I’m pretty certain that a couple of those Make ‘n’ Takes were being sent as birthday cards in the very near future.

My Make ‘n’ Take box already to go with pre-cut card stock

Just so you know, there is a co-ordinating Tree Builder Punch so there was no need for me to fussy cut the small apples or birds (thank goodness).

I did however prepare all the apples and birds ahead of time. It was quite simple to do. I stamped and then punched each bird or apple out and then stuck them to a strip of glue dots. Once they were adhered to the strip I covered each bird or apple with Crystal Effects to make them all glossy and left them to dry for a few hours.

It was then simply a matter of pealing one of a strip and adding it to the card to finish it off.

Details of all the Stampin’ Up! goodies used to make the cards are as follows:
