Stamping’ Up! have set demonstrators a Creative Challenge for June. The Challenge is to make a project using at least two out of four specified punches and to then pin the project to Pinterest using the hashtag #punchitup.
The punches to be used are the Pansy Punch (Item No. 130698), the Hearts Border Punch (Item. No. 133784), the Fun Flower Punch (Item No. 133785) and the Sweetheart Punch (Item No. 133786).
Well, I made a project but boy have I had problem taking a photograph of it. Flash on, flash off, photograph it inside, photograph it outside. I have tried everything, but just can’t get rid of the reflections. I know the obvious thing would be to take the glass out and believe me I’ve tried but it’s nailed into the frame! Anyway, this is what I’ve made using two of the punches.
I used card stock and ink in the new 2015-2017 In Colors and a Stampin’ Write Marker too. Here’s a close up of the flowers in more detail.
I used the Pansy and the Fun Flower Punches but stamped the flowers using the co-ordinating stamp sets first. The Pansy Punch co-ordinates with the Flower Shop (available as a Bundle with a 15% saving) and the Fun Flower Punch co-ordinates with both the Beautiful Bunch stamp set and the Bloom for You single stamp. I used the Bloom for You single stamp.
Each of the flowers were stamped in 2015-2017 In Color inks onto the corresponding card stock and I added some 2015-2017 In Color Bloom Accents. Just so you know, they don’t come with rhinestones in the centre – I added these for extra effect.
Once all the flowers were stamped, punched and glued together I then glued them to a piece of Tip Top Taupe 12″ x 12″ Envelope Paper. There were a couple of dry runs before I was happy with the arrangement.
To finish off the whole thing I added a greeting from the Oh My Goodies stamp set and cut if out using the Deco Labels Collection Framelits. I cut a larger label in Tip Top Taupe just to finish it off and add more depth.
I’m really pleased with the way the picture turned out and it looks great hanging on the wall in my craft room.
