Yesterday was my lovely downline Carol’s birthday. I made her a card last week and then promptly forgot to post it to her, doh.  Luckily she lives quite close to where I live, so I popped out last night and dropped it off to her.

It does mean that it’s now safe to share the card that I made her using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set. This is the 2015-2016 Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set, and £2.00 from every stamp set sold will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC) here in the UK. This has to be the cutest RMHC stamp set so far.

Sprinkles of Life, Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack and 2015-2017 In Colors – all available from 2 June

I love that you can make trees, baskets of flowers, cupcakes, ice creams and clouds. I’m sure that Pinterest will have lots of other ideas on it too once people are able to get their hands on the set.

I even decorated the envelope, because let’s face it, you can’t send/give a naked envelope.

The little apple on the tree is also one of the stamps in the set (there is a little bird too). I stamped the apple onto Watermelon Wonder card stock using the same colour ink. Once I punched out the apple (using the co-ordinating Tree Builder Punch) I stuck it onto a glue dot and then used some Crystal Effects on it to make it all shiny. The glue dot is a great tip because it holds the apple in place while the crystal effects dries and then it makes it easy to glue the finished apple onto the tree.

This is the tree close up. Hopefully you can see how shiny the apple is. I have 20 of these apples and 20 of the birds to make for the Open House make ‘n’ take. Luckily they don’t take too long, it’s just the drying of the crystal effects that takes awhile. If you are interested in popping along on 6 June drop me a line.
