This is one of my favourite projects from last weekend’s Team Training, and not just because it’s one of the ones that I put together.

I have to confess that I’m not that good at making flowers, so this project took me out of my comfort zone a little, but I think it came out all right.

There are three flowers on top of the box – the main one that you can see is in Pool Party and the two peeking out on the other side are in Calypso Coral. All three flowers have Sahara Sand centres to tie in with the Sahara Sand Lace Trim and the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper.
All of the flowers were cut out using the Bouquet Bigz L Die and I scrunched the petals before putting them together. There was certainly a lot of groaning going on about the scrunching and a fair few people didn’t do it. Personally, I prefer the softer look that the scrunching gives, but it is a case of to each his own.
The greeting comes from the Painted Petals stamp set and I stamped it in Pool Party before cutting out the tag using the Chalk Talk Framelit Dies.
The Pool Party flower is made up of ten petals. Two sets of five petals were glued together using Glue Dots and then the two sets were glued together. Each of the Calypso Coral flowers is made up of two of the daisies with the flower centre rolled and pushed through the centre. I added leaves and branches too to finish it off. All of the flowers and leaves were hot glued to the belly band that goes around the box.
