You may recall that last month I went to the Stampin’ Up! Leadership event in Orlando. As well as the two card swaps that I took part in there was also a CMC Swap – what’s that I hear you ask.  I had to ask the same thing before I took part and it stands for Convention Memory Card (or so I was lead to believe).

There were 24 of us from Europe who agreed to take part. And here’s a photo of us all, well most of us, as there were a couple missing. This was taken after the swap was done.

So, a CMC is not your normal card swap. It is in fact a small 4″ x 4″ card that you make and it should include a photo of you so that people can remember the faces of everyone who attended. This is a great idea as I met some of these lovely people for the first time in Orlando and I am terrible at putting names to faces (must be an age thing). At least the next time we meet I might have a chance.

Here’s a couple of photos of all the cards that I received.

The decision now was how to store these and I opted for the So You Project Kit (page 48 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue). The kit itself contains a 10.2 cm x 10.2 cm album, along with 20 page protectors and lots of lovely products to decorate the inside and outside of the album. At the moment I have simply slipped all the cards in to the page protectors and I’ve also printed off a couple of other photos of the trip.

The outside of the album now looks like this. I love the wood sheet – the hello can in fact be taken out and used elsewhere but I love the effect of leaving it in the wood sheet.

I used Basic Black and Coastal Cabana card stock to tie in with the ribbon and of course the Disney theme.

I now need to figure out what to do with all the extra bits that I have left as I do not want to waste them. I’m sure that they will find themselves onto some project or other. Maybe even into the album as I have a couple of the page protectors left.

This is the project kit that I used.
