I am in the middle of writing a Tutorial for the One Sheet Wonder technique. It is something we have tried in class with great success so I thought I would try the Four Feather stamp set on it.
I used one sheet of Very Vanilla and four neutral colours, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.
I stamped all over the sheet of Very Vanilla and then cut up the sheet into nine pieces. In theory I could have made nine cards but I decided to double up pieces on some of the cards. So, in the end I only made seven cards. And surprise, surprise, these are the cards (with envelopes) that were in the Four Feathers box that I posted on 31 October.
I used Very Vanilla card stock for the card bases. The stamped and cut up pieces were mounted onto Early Espresso card stock with the exception of one card where I used a piece of Crumb Cake too, as I wanted to add some contrast.
All of the greetings come from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set. This is fast becoming one of my go to stamp sets but I doubt that Petite Pairs and Teeny Tiny Sentiments will ever be replaced by it.
I love the One Sheet Wonder Technique as it makes it very easy to make a set of co-ordinating but totally different cards. What’s more, if you are not into stamping but have a piece of favourite Designer Series Paper (DSP) that you are willing to part with, then you can use this technique on it. Obviously, if you are not willing to part with the DSP you are going to have to make your own!
