So yesterday (Friday) was a stay at home day after all the excitement of travelling to Chicago and back,

Not a very good photo of the Chicago skyline. It was taken from the
train that we used to travel from one part of the DePaul University
campus to the other

and then Michael taking his California driving test (which he passed) on Wednesday. Followed by some boy toy (xbox and the like) shopping on Thursday.

Because I was going to be home all day, I decided to make a start on my swaps for next months Regional Training which is being held in Telford. I should add that the Region is the whole of the UK!

I’m pleased to say that I am now about half way through making the 30 swaps that I plan to take. Sorry I can’t share them at the moment but thought I would share my US crafting space instead.

Some of the supplies I brought over with me. It looked a lot messier than this half an hour later!

It is in fact the kitchen counter-top. As you can see from the background. To be more precise, it is a counter-top that sits between the kitchen and the dining room (which is where I am standing to take this photo), and I usually stand on the dining-room side.

I could use the dining-room table but it has a glass top and those of you who know me well know that I’m best kept away from it with heavy objects like punches and big shots!

Today we have a 50th birthday party to go to so I’d best end this and go get my act in gear and make a card. If I have time, I’ll take a photo of it and post it on here sometime this weekend. Tomorrow we are off on our travels again. This time to Savannah in sunny Georgia. We will be back again on Tuesday so it’s only another short trip.
