I’m going to be spending the first part of this week preparing for classes later in the week, and also for the two craft shows that I’ll be at the last two weekends of the month.

The Stampin’ Up! stand at the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show is being organised by me, so have I taken on the lions share of the preparation work for it. All the card stock has been ordered for the Make and Takes, samples are being pinned to the display board and more are being made for the display boxes.

This is a 3D card that I’ve been working on over the weekend, it’s based on card that one of my fellow Stampin’ Stars, Lesley Gillett, had made. She in turn had based hers on one seen on Mary Fish’s blog – Stampin’ Pretty. If you want to see how to make the card yourself click on the link and you will be taken to Mary’s blog where there is a video. Boy, these ideas certainly get around the internet!

The card will fold flat and what’s more, it will fit into a C6 sized envelope. It doesn’t take too much card stock either, although you do have to start with a piece of 12″ x 12″.

Stampin’ Up! supplies used:

Stamp set : Chalk Talk
Card stock : Crumb Cake
Designer Series Paper : Soho Subway
Ink : Crumb Cake (sponged on edges) and Island Indigo
Accessories : Stampin’ Trimmer or Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Sponge, Extra Large Oval Punch and Dimensionals.

On Thursday I have a Christmas card class for a craft group. They decided that they wanted to get ahead with their cards. I’ll share one of the cards later in the week but thought I’d let you know that if you are interested in getting ahead of the game there is a Carry Over list from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue. Items on the list will be available until 30 June and you can see the list HERE (fingers crossed that the link works).
