Apologies for the non posting this last week. Those of you who come to class know that my Mother decided last year that she wanted to move. Not much happened before the Christmas break (other than lots of clearing of rooms and cupboards) but these past few days lots of things have been going on with the solicitors and the like. The contract for the new place has been signed and she should exchange in the next few days (I hope I don’t jinx it) and by the time of next class (24th and 25th of Jan) she should be in.

It’s not been all house moving stuff, I’ve also been planning the classes for this month (and next) and also a Team Training day. Yesterday I took delivery of a very large box (two boxes in fact) or goodies from the upcoming Spring/Summer Catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, so I have lots more samples to start making over the next week or so. I will be sending out catalogues etc in the next few days, so look out for yours. If you would like a copy of the catalogues but don’t think you are on my mailing list please drop me a line.

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek of one of the cards that we will be making in class.

We will in fact be making four cards one of which will be a little different. If you fancy popping along, please drop me a line. There are a few spaces left on both the Friday evening and Saturday morning classes.

Because I have been so tardy in my blogging this last week, I thought I’d share another card. This time it’s another sneak peek of some of the goodies from Sale-A-Bration.

Stampin’ Up! supply list:

Stamp set : You’re Lovely (SAB)
Ink : Jet Black StazOn ink
Card Stock : Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Summer Starfruit and Pool Party
Designer Series Paper : Sweet Treet (SAB)
Accessories : 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Whisper White Baker’s Twine  and Dimensionals

I spotted this card on the Fab Friday blog – the original is by Janine Tinklenberg and you can check out her original here. Mine does differ slightly in that I used some of the Designer Series Paper for the background and not a stamped image – mainly because I thought it would be nice for you to see some more of the paper that’s available in the pack. I also didn’t highlight the lettering in the centre – personally I did not think it was needed it in this instance. But you can check out the original and decide for yourself.
