Saturday was team training at my house and there were 16 demo from Diane’s and my team who came along for some fun and lots of laughter, oh and some crafting too.

Between us, Diane and I had come up with lots of projects using both Sale-A-Bration and Spring/Summer products.  I’m only going to share one of them with you today because I’d like to keep some back and keep you in suspense for a little while longer. Plus, I only have photos of the cards that I designed as I’ve not yet had a chance to make the ones that Diane designed.

Cool Kid on the block – pardon the pun

One of the two stamp sets from the Spring/Summer Catalogue that I chose to show case was the Cool Kid stamp set. When I first looked at the catalogue, I saw all the lovely “must have, really need” stamp sets and accessories, but I decided that I would get one that would force me out of my comfort zone, because it’s not quite my style. This set has really grown on me and I have lots more ideas for designs brewing.

I used one of my acrylic blocks to make the background and it wasn’t until I’d stamped the wording that I realised what I’d done. I guess those six years living in Southern California had an effect on me after all.

Stampin’ Up! supplies used:

Stamp set : Cool Kid (Spring/Summer)
Card Stock : Basic Black, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay and Summer Starfruit
Designer Series Paper : Kaleidoscope (Spring/Summer)
Ink : Black StazOn, Bermuda Bay and Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Write Markers
Accessories : Paper Snips, Acrylic Block and Basic Rhinestones

My craft room before everyone arrived – it doesn’t usually look like this.

Lots of stamping and cutting going on. The was a lot of chatting and laughter too.

If you would like to join my team and have the opportunity to come to these training days then the forthcoming Sale-A-Bration period (from 28 January to 31 March) will be a great time to do so. Full details will be posted in the very near future but I can already tell you that you will be able to choose £150 worth of Stampin’ Up! products for £99, that’s a 33% saving.

Today is Mum’s big move. She got the keys to her brand new flat yesterday and today the packers arrive to pack and move her. I have no idea how they are going to manage to get it all done in one day but they have to. I’m sure it is going to be organised chaos so I have opted to stay away until mid-day when the worst of the packing is over. I have classes this coming weekend so I have all my preparation to get done so I am going to make use of this morning, because I know that I will be “on call” the rest of the week.
