I mentioned yesterday that some of the things we love about training is the people and the swaps.  There are usually a few demonstrators who are willing to share their Stampin’ Up! experience and others willing to demonstrate ideas and techniques using new products.

Unfortunately I can’t share any new product as yet, but I can share a couple of projects that I made on Sunday, using a technique that Lynne Fahey demonstrated on Saturday.

Lynne demonstrated the Acrylic Block Background Technique using three slightly different things – markers, ink pads and refills. The other things she used were simply Whisper White or Very Vanilla card stock, a large clear block (that kind of goes without saying given the name of the technique), a spritzer filled with water and for the Refill technique a plastic bag (one that an ink pad came in). All three were such great techniques to watch and I had fun with my mother trying one of them out on Sunday afternoon.

I opted to use a variety of different coloured Stampin’ Write Markers. But, I will be trying the other methods too and will post photos in due course.

The first project was made using Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede and So Saffron markers.

was stamped in Early Espresso

The second card was made using Gumball Green, So Saffron, Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple markers.

This was a really fun and simple technique to try and one that I will be using in a class at some point in the future.
