I decided yesterday that I would relax and spend some time crafting. Thursday’s post was a cased card so I thought that first of all I would check out some of the latest card challenges for some inspiration.

I spotted this challenge on the Freshly Made Sketches web-site. The sketch is by Jen M and these are always a good starting point if you are having problems with coming up with something. I think that my problem at the moment is that I have a few new things to play with and I can’t make up my mind on what to use first as I love it all!

Anyway, here is the sketch that was the starting point for today’s card.

I also saw that the Simply Less is More challenge for the week is called.
FRAME IT – Week 111 theme
I’m glad that I spotted it before I posted this blog as I had made a frame, so I can now enter both challenges at the same time.
Here’s what I came up with.
Stampin’ Up! supplies used;
Stamp sets : Oh Whale and Ciao Baby
Card Stock : Whisper White and Pacific Point
Designer Series Paper : Sunshine & Sprinkles
Ink : Pacific Point
Accessories : Large Scallop Edgelit die, 7/8″ Scallop Circle punch, Ovals Framelits dies, Happy Whale Clearlits die, Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
I’m not sure if you noticed, but the tail of the whale hasn’t been stuck down – I have deliberately bent it a little to give it a little more dimension.
Please feel free to leave comments. I love to hear what you all think of my projects.

  1. I'm really sorry I'm so late in visiting, but last week completely got away from me.
    This is just super, I can't wait to use my whale stamps too.
    Thanks so much
