I obviously spoke too soon yesterday morning as I’m still busy finalising things for tomorrow (and pinning samples), but still managed to make a card to share with you this morning. I should add that the pinning goes on not because I’m really slow but because I was side-tracked (actually ambushed is more like it) by having to go sort out a few things for my Mother-in-law.

I admit that on today’s card I’ve used a couple of the stamps from the Annual Catalogue but on seeing the new Ovals Framelit dies it was something that I just had to try. I tried to give the card a slightly vintage feel without going over the top (I hope).

Stampin’ Up! supplies used

Stamp sets : En Francais and Artistic Etchings
Card Stock : Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Pink Piroutte
Ink : Soft Suede Stampin’ Ink Pad and Pink Piroutte Stampin’ Write Marker
Accessories : Ovals Collection Framelit dies, Flower Trim, Dimensionals

If you are wondering about the wording behind the Eiffel Tower – I stamped the image on the Very Vanilla first and then stamped again onto the Pink Piroutte oval without re-inking the stamp. This gives a much lighter impression.

The flowers from the Vanilla Flower Trim were coloured using the Stampin’ Write Markers. I love how you can colour these to match or co-ordinate with the colours on a project.

Tomorrow is set up day at the show. I will be posting photos over the next few days – some of the show, others of projects.

In the meantime, some news about the show to share. We are on Stand E17 – which I believe is looking at the back wall (as you come in).

Make n Takes will be on a first come basis. There is no need to sign up. If you see a space then take a moment to sit down and enjoy the project we have to share. Hopefully we will have enough for everyone who wants to do one.

Orders taken at the show will be given a 10% discount but you will have to pay postage & packaging which is a flat £4.95 no matter the size of the order.  If you live local to me (Wokingham) I may be able to combine orders so please talk to me about it.
