This is my first Christmas as an “active” demonstrator and as my husband is away (yet again), I decided to throw a party (Stampin’ Up! style) for my downlines and customers.

Rather than spend my entire morning cooking (this is because I would much prefer to be crafting) I asked everyone who came to bring one plate of food to share and also, if they wanted, a Christmas card made with some (did not have to be entirely) Stampin’ Up! product on it. The card would go into the secret Santa card swap where everyone who brought one pulled out a name and wrote that name on the card that they brought with them.

Here is the card that I made (entirely Stampin’ Up! products) as my swap.

I have to admit that I CASed it from Vicky Hayes (aka Crafting Clare). You may have noticed it pinned to my Stampin’ Up! board on Pinterest!  Anyway, I have changed out a few things, but not the Happy Hour or Lovely as a Tree stamp sets. I used a different stamp set for the greeting and the wreath was stamped in Old Olive and Certainly Celery. The most noticeable difference is that I used some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon to make the bow.

I also made everyone who came a little card.  Here are a couple of photos of some of them.

I made 16 cards out of the one sheet of designer series paper from the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper. I added greetings from the Teeny Tiny Sentitments stamp set and used both the Word Window and Modern Label punches for the greetings too.
It wouldn’t be a party if there wasn’t a make & take so here is what everyone got to make and take home with them. I saw these on Cristy Butzen’s blog called Tinker With Ink & Paper but made my own version as I do not have the Two Tag’s die (I know it’s hard to believe that, but there you go).

I punched the top of this using the large 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle punch. I’ll share how it’s done another time.

Other than the make & take everyone had fun catching up with people they only tend to see once a month at class and we also managed to get a game of bingo in too.  I made my own Bingo cards using the Bingo stamp and also the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set. I’ll post a photo of these another day and also one of the cards that I made using the stamp set too – they are super cute.

Anyway must finish and go do the clearing away. Check back soon to see more from today.
