Today’s post is going up a little late. This is because it’s my husband’s birthday today and I wanted to share the card that I made for him – but not before he saw it.

George quite likes the odd martini and this is such a fun stamp set that I thought I would make a card with it for him. The set is called Happy Hour, and as the name suggests it has a few different types of glasses in it.

I teamed the martini glass (stamped in Island Indigo) with the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue. The Festival of Prints Designer Stack is a cute stack of double sided paper (11.4 cm x 16.5 cm) but as you can see from the photo it has paper in it that is suitable for all occasions.

Here is a close up of the image. I stamped an olive (in Lucky Limeade) on to the bottom of the glass stem but I also stamped and cut out a couple of extra olives and added them onto the card using the mini glue dots. The stamped martini glass image was matted onto Lucky Limeade and then Early Espresso card stock.

We are off out later for lunch but who knows, maybe this evening we will enjoy a glass of martini.
