A quick post for you today. I was asked last week by a close friend of my mother’s to make a 21st Birthday card for her grandson. Betty used to live across the road from my parents and I’ve known her since I was 5 (far too many years to mention). She still lives quite close to my mother so I get to see her on a regular basis either at my mum’s house or at one of my classes.

I decided to use some of the new In Colors (Midnight Muse and Gumball Green) to make the card and also The Open Sea stamp set. I also made use of a new stamp set – Memorable Moments. This is a great stamp set for making a card more personal. It co-ordinates with the Labels Collection Framelits as you can see from the photo. Not only can you use it for birthdays but anniversaries too.

The Gumball Green card stock was embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder and the greeting framelit was mounted on a Marina Mist framelit.

I also decided to stamp the ship image on the envelope and there is also an unseen compass on the back (you will have to take my word for it).
