At training last week a demonstrator friend Pip (aka Queen Pip) showed me a card that she had made based on one she had seen on Dawn Olchefske’s blog (and which was in turn based on one she had received from Sami Brown). I guess you could say that it has been doing the rounds but when you see it, you will know why. It is such a cute idea.

I should add that the card also helps me keep my New Year Resolution going as it involves Ribbon – this month’s theme.

To make this card I used the following products – the Autumn/Winter Catalogue item(s)  are highlighted.

Holiday Collection Framelits Dies and Big Shot
Champagne Glimmer Paper
Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler card stock
Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Ink pad
Linen Thread
Tiny Tags Stamp set and matching Tag Punch
Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Scallop Dotted Ribbon
Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon plus sneak peek of new ribbon coming 1 October in the New Annual Catalogue.
Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets

This was a simple card to make and is a really good way to use up those odd bits of ribbon as each shape took less than 12″ (30cm) to make. If you don’t have ribbon you could always swap it out for strips of paper. Hmm that’s given me an idea – check back tomorrow.
