Yestersday was my friend Lorrie’s birthday. I wanted to make her a special birthday card and because I did’t have to post it to her I was able to make a square one. Here in the USA they charge extra for you to mail square cards and also lumpy ones (their words on the USPS web-site). At least in the UK they only charge extra if the card is more than 5mm thick.

Anyway, here is a photo of the card that I made for her.

Oops just noticed that I managed to photograph my toes too!
I used some Pool Party Textured card stock to make the base card. The flowers in the bottom left corner come from the Button Buddies stamp set and they were stamped in Not Quite Navy and Daffodil Delight. In the top right corner the flower is the same, I have simply cut out and layered with dimensionals the Pool Party, Not Quite Navy and Daffodil Delight elements.
I also decided to make a matching envelope out of some Pool Party Designer Series Paper.

I added a stamped flower that I can use as a seal for the envelope. I think that this will finish it off nicely.
