Hooray, it’s 1 May and today is the day the Summer Mini is released.  There are lots of yummy products in the catalogue that I want to share with you and lots of lovely inspiration too.  I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peeks I have shown you these last few days.

If you have hopped here from Michelle’s (crafty paper) lovely blog welcome. I love her project.

Details of who to hop to next are at the bottom of this post. But first, please check out the two projects that I want to share with you.

The first is the badge that I made for the regional training day that I went to this last Saturday.

Our instruction was simple and it was that we had to make our own badge using product from the current catalogues.  I choose to use some of the new Twitterpated paper along with the lovely Framelits Dies that are also in the Summer Mini Catalogue.  The lovely Twitterpated Designer Series Paper pack has 12 sheets of 12 x 12 paper, consisting of 6 double sided designs of paper with 2 sheets of each. The paper co-ordinates with Pear Pizzazz, Basic Grey, Island Indigo, Red Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride and Whisper White card stock as you would expect and ink, markers and ribbon too. I also used some of the Blushing Bride Pleated Satin Ribbon and a stamp from the Bordering on Romance stamp set both in the Summer Mini.

The second project that I want to share has been made using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. This is a fantastic new tool that we have been dying to get our hands on for ages.  It really takes the chore out of scoring your card and makes making a 3D project so much easier – no more rulers and embossing/scoring tools. The main board is in inches and there is also available a separate metric scoring plate that sits over the main board.  Watch this space for lots more projects that will be posted over the coming few weeks.

The second project is a Criss Cross Card. The notelet inside comes out so you can write your message/greeting on it.

The card was made using the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, the new Framelits Dies and also the lovely Bordering on Romance Stamp set.

Here you can see the notelet that sits inside the card.

The Big News for TODAY is that Stampin’ UP! have redesigned the Starter Kit for all New Demonstrators. As of 1 May, the new Starter Kit will cost £99.00 and it is FULLY CUSTOMISABLE. You can choose up to £130.00 of goodies from the current catalogues and in addition you will receive £45.00 of business goodies (catalogues, etc). For those of you who already have lots of Stampin’ Up! product this is a great deal because you have total freedom as to what product YOU WANT in your starter kit.  Please check out my Join My Team page for more information.

In addition to the new Starter Kit, Stampin’ UP! have just announced (well I knew from Saturday’s Regional Training but was sworn to secrecy) that for New Demonstrators who sign up in May, you will receive your Annual Convention registration free – a gift worth £149.00.

If you can’t wait to get your hands on your own copy of the mini please click on the picture to the left and it  will take you to an electronic version that you can view on-line. If you would like a copy of the mini to sit and enjoy, please contact me with your details and I will pop a copy in the post to you free of charge. I did have the foresight to bulk buy a few stamps the other month before the prices went up, hence the free postage.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my projects, please leave me a comment. It is always lovely to hear from people.

  1. Love your projects Fiona and thanks for the reminder about the name badge, forgot about that, think I may have to shorten my name!

  2. Thanks for the inspiration on the name badge, I need to get working on mine … and my swaps! Great idea to use the scoreboard for the criss cross card, haven't made one of these in ages and it will be so much easier now.
