Actually I’m not really away just a little tied up with other things so I thought I would write this a few days in advance. That way, if you are not able to make it to the Make It show you will still be able to check out some of the things on the Stampin’ Up! stand.

I found a couple of small tins in a local craft shop that they had in their sale bin. I’m always looking for a bargain and new ideas and decided that I would use one of the tins to hold small cards that can be used as either a card or gift card. I used the fabulous Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from this year’s Sale-a-Bration to decorate the tin along with some Pool Party DSP and Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon.
The tin contains four small cards (3″ x 4″) and envelopes. The above right gives you a quick look at the cards, but don’t worry there are more detailed photos below.

This little card has a Whisper White card stock base. I ran a piece of Pool Party DSP through by Big Shot using the oval Fancy Frames Embossing folder, before gluing it to the front of the card. I then inked up the large stamp from the Fresh Vintage stamp set using Stampin’ Write markers in Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade. This was stamped onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock and then punched out using the Large Oval punch.
The Pool Party banner at the bottom has a greeting from the Just Believe stamp set which was stamped in Poppy Parade onto another scrap of Very Vanilla before punching it out using the Word Window punch.

This card has two of the designs from the Everyday Enchantment DSP on it. I am not one of those people who shrink from tearing their papers (my hair, maybe) so I tore off one of the corners of the top layer of paper to reveal the paper I had glued underneath. This is a great technique for showcasing papers and I have used it in the past on some of the scrapbooks that I completed for the kids.

The birthday greeting comes from the Perfect Punches stamp set. I used Poppy Parade ink onto Very Vanilla but it looked a litte stark against the DSP, which has a dabbled effect. I decided to use my Color Spritzer Tool to add Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Poppy Parade dots.

Ocassionally it is nice to make a card with no stamping.  The little card above has a Whisper White card base. I used my Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder to add the dots to one half of the card and then stuck a piece of the red Everyday Enchantment paper on the other half. The flower was made by running Basic Black and a different piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP through my Big Shot using the Fun Flowers die. I layered up the flower and held it together with a small Real Red brad. I have to admit that I am loving the Everyday Enchantment DSP there are 6 double sided designs giving you 12 designs in total, and there are 2 of each sheet.

This last card has a little more stamping on it. The card base is Very Vanilla and the stamp down each side are in Soft Suede. Another piece of Everyday Enchantment DSP was stuck down the centre of the card. The postage stamp was stamped in Poppy Parade and punched out using the Postage Stamp punch (available from the Spring Mini Catalogue) and this was matted onto a square piece of Soft Suede before being popped onto the card using dimensionals.

Looking back at this little project I have just counted that I used 6 out of the 12 designs from the Everyday Enchantment DSP – not bad going if I say so myself!
