my Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.

I have seen a number of photos on the internet of fabulous pictures made using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit – my favourite being the one made by one of my fellow Blue Angels, Julie Halls (aka The Crafty Bug), but most like Julie’s are a kaleidoscope of all the colours available as part of the Stampin’ Up! range.  I decided that I would try something a little different and the fabulous Everyday Enchantment DSP available as one of the FREE sets from this year’s Sale-a-Bration was calling to me.

I found a cheap shadow box that was deep enough to take the butterflies and I set to with my trusty Big Shot cutting out the butterflies using all the papers available. Mind you I did not use up all the paper – I have plenty left for other projects.

A slightly closer photo

I glued some of the larger butterflies flat onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and then set about adding others. Some have been glued so that the wings are totally open, others with one wing stuck down. I also added some basic Rhinestones to the centres of the larger butterflies to give an added glittery effect.
We have been asked to bring Sale-a-Bration related projects to decorate our stand (I believe it to be D19) at Make It so I will be taking this along with me. You never know you might just see it there if you come along and visit us.
