Wow, only the 7th of the month and this is my second restist embossing post. I have to admit that I’m trying to get a few in early because the end of the month is going to be manic. This is because I will be manning the Stampin’ Up! stand at Make It.  I am already getting geared up. The team have now agreed on the FREE Make & Take, and between us we have to prep for at least 300 people.  As much as I would love to give you a sneak peek I just daren’t.  However, because it’s FREE to do the Make & Take, why not come along and visit me on the stand and have a go.

Anyway, I digress. Today’s card was made using this month’s technique, Restist Embossing. There is a bit of “normal” heat embossing on there too, as you may be able to tell from the glossy sheen!

The Melon Mambo card stock was embossed using Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder, a VersaMark and one of the hostess sets from the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue called Posy Punch. You can purchase this exclusive stamp set using your Hostess Pounds from qualifying orders or workshops, where the total value of the order (excluding postage and packaging) is at least £150.

I love the colour combination of Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive that I have used.

The white flowers were made using Whisper White card stock. The posy image was stamped using the Versamark and embossed using the clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then used sponge daubers to add the Old Olive colour to the centre and Elegant Eggplant to the edges. The image was then wiped clean, leaving a lovely white flower with a green/eggplant centre and an eggplant background.  The posy was then punched out using the Fancy Flower punch. This punch works so well with all three of the posy images in the stamp set.

The small circle sentiment comes with the stamp set too and I stamped this is elegant eggplant and punched it out. It was then popped onto the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I promise I’ll post at least one more technique card before the end of the month, but there are lots of other things scheduled for this month so please keep checking back.
