I’m sorry that I’ve not posted anything for a few days. I have been busy tidying and organising my craft room and finally moved everything back in yesterday. The kids and my husband will be pleased as it means that we now have a fully functioning kitchen table again and two shelves in a cupboard have been freed up.

I found out some great news this morning. I should have checked yesterday but did not have the time. Anyway, it turns out that the card posted on this blog on 8 January was a Top 3 Pick in the Simply Stamping Challenge #41. Thank You. I enjoy joining in challenges and to be a Top 3 Pick is fantastic.

A promise was made at the beginning of the year to try more technique based cards and the theme for January is Punches. Many of you will have noticed just how versatile Stampin’ Up! products are. But, it is not just the stamps that can be used for a variety of projects the punches can be used for different projects too.

A couple of different punches were used to make today’s card.

The balloon was made using the Ornament punch and some Rich Razzelberry Designer Series Paper.

I also used a borrowed Cup Cake Builder punch (thanks Julie) and punched out some embossed (Square Lattice Embossing Folder) Soft Suede card stock for the basket and the template for the clouds. The clouds were made using a Pacific Point Ink Pad and a Sponge Dauber.

I love the colour combination of Rich Razzelberry, Daffodill Yellow and Pacific Point and hope that you like the card enough to give it a go.
