Having made quite a few Christmas cards for various craft fairs my pile of scrap paper has grown. I hate to throw things away so I came up with the following idea for another card to use up some of the scrap card stock.

The card has been made up of a mixture of Real Red and Old Olive card stock and some Whisper White too.

I did not have a large enough piece of Real Red card stock to make the base card so it is two pieces, one Real Red the other Old Olive that have been stuck together.

I had some other scrap card stock that had been cut into triangles so these were added to the front of the card to complement each side. I used my Versamark Pad to stamp the swirl from the Season Of Joy stamp set on both the front and inside of the card. The Versamark is great for stamping as it adds detail without adding additional colour.

I stamped a piece of Whisper White card stock with the message from the Season Of Joy set and used my markers to colour the stamp. That way I was able to use both Real Red and Old Olive on the stamp at the same time. The message was punched out using the Decorative Label punch.

The main panel inside the card is a piece of Whisper White card stock that has been stamped with the large poinsettia from the Season of Joy set and then the scroll was stamped once the poinsettia had been masked off. Some Basic Rhinestones were added to the middle of the flower as an embellishment.

This card was quick and simple to make and is a great way of using up scraps of card stock and paper. I’ll be adding another to the blog in the next day or so.
