These make great gifts and are quick and simple to make. I found some jotter pads in my local bargain store and decided to alter the look of them using paper, card stock, markers, a couple of punches and a stamp.
The stamp I used was from the Notably Ornate stamp set and is great for notebooks and jotters as it simply says “Take Note”. I used a co-ordinating colour for the stamp and then punched it out using my Extra-Large Oval Punch.
The two jotters in the photo have been decorated with some Designer Series Paper and matching/co-ordinating card stock. I used the Scallop Border Punch and another from my craft room before matting the punched card onto another piece co-ordinating piece of card stock.
The “stitches” are simply hand drawn using a Stampin’ Write Marker in the same or similar colour to the card stock. The “stitches” are simply a series of dots and dashes – no ribbon involved.
Once the jotter was finished the message was stuck on using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You can really go to town on these and make them as simple or as decorative as you want.
I am planning on taking some of these to one of the craft markets that I am doing and I have some adhesive magnetic strip that I can put on the back if people want to be able to “stick” them to their fridge.
