It’s sketch time for this week’s challenge.

I had so many ideas whirring around in my head for this challenge but decided to go with my first idea. For me the first one usually ends up being the best because I just keeping adding stuff to later ones and things get too complicated and messy.

I paired the images from the Touches of Texture stamp set with one of the sentiments from the Watercolor Wings stamp. Brief instructions are as follows:
  • Berry Burst card base – A5 (21.0 x 14.9 cm) scored and folded in half at 10.5 cm.
  • Stamp splatter image from the Touches of Texture stamp set in Berry Burst onto the card front – central but close (not too close though) to the top of the Berry Burst card front.
  • Whisper White cardstock – 14.4 cm x 9.5 cm with a 1-1/2″ hole punched in it.
  • Stamp the larger flower outline from the Touches of Texture stamp set in Berry Burst onto a scrap piece of Whisper White – needs to be at least 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″. Then over stamp the other flower image in Berry Burst too. Don’t worry trying to get the flowers to line up because they are not supposed to.
  • Punch out the flower using a 2″ Circle Punch.
  • Stamp sentiment in black onto a piece of Whisper White measuring 1.5 x 5.5 cm. Cut a banner at the left-hand end.
  • Adhere the Whisper White piece (the one with the hole) onto the Berry Burst card front. There should be a small amount of base card showing top, bottom and right and you should be able to see the splatters through the hole.
  • Adhere the banner and 2″ circle to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Finish off the card front with some Glitter Enamel Dots.
Don’t forget to go and check out what everyone else has made. As always there is lots of fabulous ideas.

  1. LOVE this new colour and I especially like the stamps you use and how you added a slight border around the white layer. Hugs Bev x

  2. Beautiful cars, I love how you have just show cased one colour, berry burst. It defiantly shows that you don't need vast amounts of items to make a stunning card x

  3. What a perfect match up of stamps and card stock for this great sketch. The Berry Burst is so vibrant but toned down with the Whisper White it looks enchanting. Thanks for sharing.
