I love Washi Tape, and I have to admit that I have a tendency to hoard it too.

While sorting out my craft studio before I left for Amsterdam, I came across a few rolls of the Pop of Pink washi collection and also my Weather Together stamp set and framelits. It’s amazing what you find and then get sidetracked by, when you are really supposed to be having a big tidy up! Anyway, seeing as it’s April, I thought I could make an April Showers card. Not that we have had that much rain this month.

Washi Tape is great to use with framelits.  You simply stick strips of the tape (butting the edges together) to a scrap piece of paper and then cut out whatever shape you want. It’s also a quick and easy way to decorate cards, scrapbook pages and 3D items.

This is the card I made.

I combined the Pop of Pink Washi Tape (layered onto some scrap Whisper White cardstock) with some Melon Mambo and Basic Black scraps to make the umbrellas.

The Umbrella Weather framelits also have a couple of small framelits that you can use to cut out raindrops for a background. I did this and then added some Silver Glimmer paper behind.

Of course I also decorated the inside of the card using some of the stamps from the Weather Together stamp set.

The washi tape in the current catalogues are all retiring at the end of May,  so don’t forget to stock up while supplies last. Here are details of the washi tape available at the time of writing this post.

I am placing an order on 20 April so if you live local to me (and can collect your order) and would like to add your items, then please let me know by 7.30 pm on 20 April.

Don’t forget, you can also shop online from the comfort of your home. When shopping online (and your order is less than £150), don’t forget to use the monthly code when checking out.
