It’s the last Tuesday of September so time for a sketch challenge. I’ve opted to keep my card very simple and make a Halloween card using the Spooky Bat Punch and one sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.

Here’s Samantha’s sketch.

I received the Spooky Bat Punch when I was on the Alaska Incentive Trip and thought it a shame if I did not put it to use. It was one of the spin the wheel prizes. The sketch was turned 90° so that I could fit all of the elements in.

Spooky Bat Punch Halloween card for CAS 291

The Spooky Bat Punch was used to simply punch out the three bats from some Basic Black cardstock. The bats have been glued to the Whisper White squares solely by their body. This way it’s possible to create more dimension in the shape by lifting the wings. You can see it better in the next photo.

With a bit of wiggling I managed to manoeuvre the punch and punch out two bats at once from the inside panel. Two Basic Black bats were then glued into place.

I hope my card has inspired you to give the challenge ago. You will find the link to add your card along with pictures of all the other design team members cards over on the CC&S blog. Deadline for adding the link to your card is 11.00 pm (UK time) on Monday, 1 October.

Happy stamping.

  1. These bats are TOO cute! (I never thought I’d say that about bats…) What a wonderful take on the sketch – I love this.
