I have a confession to make. As you read this, it’s the fourth Tuesday of the month meaning it’s time for a sketch challenge. The post was however written a week ago because I am currently enjoying myself on my first ever Stampin’ Up! incentive trip. The trip is a cruise to Alaska and at present we should be cruising the Tracy Arm Fjord.

Here’s Jeanne’s sketch.

This is what I came up with after a bit of thinking and playing around.

Challenge card using the Swirly Frames stamp set

Recognise the colours? I’ve reused Lemon Lime Twist and Coastal Cabana,  two of the colours from last week’s challenge. I had the cardstock and ink sitting on my desk and it seemed a shame not to put them to use again. It also meant I didn’t have to go put them away!

The stitched lines were stamped using a single line stamp from the Swirly Frames stamp set. Once I had finished stamping the lines on the Whisper White cardstock, it made me think that it looked like a handkerchief. Even more so after I’d added the sentiment from the Varied Vases stamp set.

Cutting Instructions

  • Lemon Lime Twist card base – 10.5 x 29.7 cm (A4 cut in half along its length)
  • Coast Cabana strip – 4.5 x 10.5 cm
  • Whisper White inside – 10.0 x 14.4 cm
  • Whisper White on front – started as 10.0 x 14.4 cm. Fixed to card front using non-permanent tape. Turn card over and draw around the card base and then cut with a pair of scissors.

All in all, the card was really simple to make and I love it’s clean and simple look.

Don’t forget to pop over to the CC&S blog to see what the other member’s of the design team have been up to

Happy stamping.

  1. This is great Fiona! I LOVE how you outlined the panel with the line stamp. I have that stamp set but have not inked it up yet – you’ve inspired me. I hope you’re having a great time in Alaska!

  2. LOVE this card, Fiona! I like how you used the stamping to accentuate the angles of the card!
