Hello and welcome to July’s Global Stampers Blog Hop.

This month our theme was to make a 3D item so I’ve decided to go with something that you might well have missed in the 2018-2019 Catalogue. You will find them on page 192.

Copper tins, 3D

The Copper Tea Tins come as a pack of 4 for £14.00 and are totally adorable. The picture in the catalogue does not do them justice.

Here are a couple of ideas from Stampin’ Up!

I decided to decorate mine using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. I also used the Pop of Petals Bundle (stamp set and punch) along with one of the dies from the Stitched Labels Framelits.

Delightfully Detailed Copper Tin for Global Stampers Blog Hop

The Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut DSP is a pack of 8, 12″ x 12″ sheets – 4 each of 2 different designs. One side of each sheet is Very Vanilla and the other side is Whisper White. I chose the Very Vanilla side because it would be a great combination with the copper.

The format of one of the sheets means it can be easily cut up. This will give you 6 card fronts and 5 borders. The other sheet can be cut up. But, to avoid any snagging I would suggest that you use a guillotine.

Although the theme for today’s Global Stampers Blog Hop is 3D, I went and made a few cards to go in the tin. They are not huge (3.5″ x 3.5″) so would make great gift tags.

The card on the left above was created by sponging over a piece of the laser-cut paper with Flirty Flamingo ink. Washi Tape was used to hold the paper in place. It also acted as a mask for the edges. The sponged laser-cut paper was then used to create the second card.

The two cards below, were created by gluing the laser-cut paper to the cardstock mount. Very Vanilla on the left and Mango Melody on the right.

I hope you have enjoyed viewing the projects. If you want to hop forward to Robbie please click on this next button.

If you would like to pop back to Ann, then please click on this next button.

Happy stamping and hopping.

  1. Oooh! I love how elegant the tin looks with the simple way you decorated it. And the note cards that go in them are simply divine 🙂
