It’s funny how your brain works in the middle of the night! About an hour ago I woke with a start thinking I hadn’t shared some of the cards I made recently for some birthdays! After trying to go back to sleep and failing miserably, I thought I might as well do something constructive. So here I am. Oh, and if you’re thinking it’s not the middle of the night. It is where I am.
Both my sister Helen and good friend Linda have had milestone birthdays in the last couple of months.
Linda loves purple so I just had to make her a card using it.
Linda’s card was made using the Daisy Delight stamp set, and both Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather inks and cardstock. The sentiment comes from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
Funnily enough it took me a little longer to figure out a colour scheme for my sister’s card. But, once I decided to use the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper it was easy.
In case you haven’t noticed, I did actually use the same basic design. It was one I spotted on Pinterest by Diane Barnes, and yes, I do CASE cards from Pinterest on occasion. There’s nothing wrong with that so long as credit it given to the originator. Something I try to do but it’s not always easy tracing back.
There’s no numbers on Helen’s card because she would have killed me! Linda’s card only has the numbers on because my husband suggested that I ought to. At least that’s what I told her (but it was true).
