Have you ever tried stamping and then colouring on vellum? It’s a fabulous technique to try, but the new Graceful Glass 6″ x 6″ Designer Vellum pack will take your card making to another level. Especially if you love colouring.

The pack contains 24 pre-printed sheets (2 each of 12 different designs). Each of the printed design looks and feels like it has been embossed onto the vellum. Definitely a great help when colouring!

Check out the designs in more detail by watching this Stampin’ Up! video.

I love colouring and particularly wanted to make a card to show you just how fabulous the vellum designs are. So here goes.

Graceful Glass Designer Vellum arched window card

Stampin’ Blends were used to colour the vellum. In addition, it is also possible to use Watercolour Pencils and an Aqua Painter, Stampin’ Write Markers and also Ink (from the lid of the ink pad or a refill) and Blender Pen or Aqua Painter. The choice is yours.

The card base is Bermuda Bay cardstock that has an oblong window cut into the front. To achieve this I used the largest square from the Layering Squares Framelits. Simply cut the first one using the Big Shot and then slide the die further down the card and cut again.

The vellum is quite thick so it was coloured on the front. That way, the colour appears brighter. Placing a piece of Whisper White cardstock behind gives a background for the colours to show against.

To finish, a rose from the Painted Glass stamp set was stamped on the inside.

There is another Graceful Glass card  I’d like to share with you this week, so please check back.

Happy stamping.
