I’ve been using the principle of One Stamp, One Kit and Three Ideas at my Card & A Cuppa for the last 18 months. Admittedly there is sometimes only two ideas plus a choice of sentiments but, either way, everyone has a choice of what they would like to make without making it overly complicated for them (or me).
Starting this week, I’m going start to share the ideas with you. The plan is that it going to become a regular feature on my blog – the first and third Friday of each month. #onestamponekitthreeideas
This past Wednesday we had the first Card & A Cuppa for May and this is the kit that everyone received as part of the One Stamp, One Kit and Three Ideas.
The kit consists of
- Wild Wasabi card base – 14.9 x 29.7 cm (half a sheet of A4) scored and folded at 10.5 cm
- Wisteria Wonder layer – 10.0 x 14.4 cm
- Whisper White stamping layer – 9.5 x 13.9 cm
- Whisper White inner – 10.0 x 14.4 cm
- Envelope and ribbon bow
- You’ve Got This stamp set (also retiring at the end of the month)
- Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink Pads (retiring)
- Black Archival Ink Pad (retiring)
- Wild Wasabi and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers
- Rhinestones
- Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals
So, these are the three options that I came up with for The One stamp, One kit and Three Ideas.
This card was quick and simple to make and I didn’t even use the Wisteria Wonder layer from the kit. I simply stamped the image in black, let it dry and then used the Stampin’ Write markers to colour the stem, leaves and stamen.
If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I like to decorate the insides of my cards and I encourage others to do so too. The other two cards had the inside piece of Whisper White decorated to match the front panel of the particular card.
The second card looked like this.
This involved stamping the image in black, letting it dry and then over-stamping the background stamp using Wisteria Wonder.
The third card looked like this.
This time the background stamp was inked up using both Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi ink (at the same time). I used the ink pads but you can use the appropriate Stampin’ Write markers instead.
I hope you like this first set in the series, of One stamp, One Kit and Three Ideas. Please feel free to share this with others and I’ll have another one for you in a couple of weeks (after the next Card & A Cuppa).
Happy stamping.
