I really wanted to come up with something to showcase the new 2018-2020 In Colors, so I decided to pair the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set with them.
The stamp set has flowers, stems and sentiments galore and I figured that by using one colour per type of flower I could come up with an arrangement that I liked. There are in fact 37 stamps in the set, 7 of them being flowers, buds or bunches of flowers, and I’ve only used 5 of them (includes a bud).
These cards are going to be my May Thank You cards, so which one has your name on it?
All of the cards have the same images stamped and die cut on the front, but I’ve used different coloured base cards and matting layers. It’s surprising how easy it is to change the look of a card by simply changing simple things like that.
Card on the right has Call Me Clover as the base and Lovely Lipstick as the mat, while the card on the left is Blueberry Bushel with a matting layer of Grapefruit Grove. I think that the Grapefruit Grove on Blueberry Bushel is my favourite out of all the cards made.
All of the cards have a strip of the In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) in them, and I co-ordinated it with the colour used for the matting layer. The DSP pack comes in a collection of striped and spotted paper and there are 40 sheets (4 each of 2 double-sided designs in the 5 colours) the pack.
You may have noticed that I made use of the co-ordinating Bouquet Bunch Framelits to die cut some of the flowers and the Blueberry Bushel bows. The dies are a must have if you have lots of flowers to cut or are simply not into fussy cutting.
Just so you know, the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set will be carrying over into the new annual catalogue and the dies (Bouquet Bunch Framelits) are too. However, if you want to save yourself some money you have until the end of the month to purchase the two as a bundle which will save you 10%. Come 1 June they will only be available individually.
Happy stamping
