I decided earlier this week that I would enter a card into the latest Global Design Project Challenge and very nearly had second thoughts because the theme is Easter.
The one big problem that I have is that I don’t actually have any Easter themed stamp sets. And then a thought struck my mind. I have a few stamp sets with cute bunnies on and what’s more, the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set has a Happy Easter stamp in it – problem solved.
I had great fun making the card, not least because I got to play around with the images until I achieved a design that I liked. I can just imagine the bunny’s nose twitching at the sight and smell of those flowers.
Here’s a quick peek inside the card.
A few quick tips for the card
1. The butterfly sitting on the sentiment – I did not bother cutting around all the intricate bits. I also applied Clear Wink of Stella (you can just make it out in the picture directly above).
2. The bunny’s tail was re-stamped onto some scrap, fussy cut out and then added using a Stampin’ Dimensional.
3. If you are challenged when it comes to tying a knot or bow cheat like I did. Simply wrap the ribbon around the card and then tie a bow or knot using a separate piece of ribbon and add it using a Glue Dot or some Tear & Tape Adhesive (don’t use a liquid glue – the ribbon will simply absorb it and then fall off).
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my design. If you live in the UK and would like to purchase some of the products I’ve used, you will find the details below.
Happy stamping.
