It’s the first Tuesday of March which means it’s time for a colour challenge over on the CAS Colours & Sketches (CC&S) Blog. This month it’s my turn to be the host and here’s my first challenge for the month.
I hope you hop over the CC&S blog and check out what the other members of the design team have designed to inspire you. But before you do, here’s the card that I’ve designed.
I used the Lovely Wishes stamp set which has 19 stamps made up of a collection of flowers, stems, leaf images and a few sentiments too. I used one image for the front (made up from four stamps) together with the sentiment and also a different image for the inside of the card (made from three stamps). The stamp set is a photopolymer set which makes it easy to line up the clear images but I used my new Stamparatus (available from 1 June) because I wanted to make a number of the same cards. It certainly made things much easier and quicker.
Cutting and basic instructions for the card are as follows:
Fresh Fig base card – 10.5 x 29.7 cm and then scored and folded at 14.9 cm
Crushed Curry layer – 9.5 x 13.9 cm. This was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Whisper White stamping layer – 9.0 x 13.4 cm. This was glued direct to the Crushed Curry layer once stamped.
Whisper White insert – 10.0 x 14.4 cm
Stamping Instructions for the card are as follows:
- Stamp the line image in Memento Tuxedo Black.
- Next, stamp the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist.
- The flower heads were stamped in Crushed Curry, and lastly
- the sentiment was stamped in Fresh Fig.
I used exactly the same colours for the image on the inside of the card.
Please feel free to leave a comment before you pop off to see what the other member’s of the Design Team have been up to.
Happy stamping.
Fiona xx

So elegant, beautiful and also CAS, Fiona!
Love the stamp you chose for this challenge, Fiona! It really captures the colors and makes them shine!
This is beautiful!
Lovely card Fiona! Very elegant. I have this stamp set and heven't used it yet – you've inspired me to get it out.
Wonderful card, Fiona! Love the springy green leaves and how the sentiment just tucks right in there!
Beautiful card using such lovely stamps. You had me stumped with this weeks colours, but you have used them so perfectly. Very inspiring and CAS. Hugs Bev x
