The ladies who came to my recent Christmas Decor & Gifts class have received the instructions for the project below along with all the instructions for the day. I’m sure they won’t mind me sharing it with you too.
One thing you need to have to make this is a 9″ x 9″ box frame, and it needs to be a deep one. The Ribba Frames from Ikea work the best and they are not too expensive too (£3.95 here in the UK).
I found that trying to take a photo while the tree was still in the frame was a real problem because of the reflection from the glass. So, for the close up I took the picture out of the frame so you could see it a little better.
The tree itself is made from 9 Green Sprigs (they come as a box of 12) and some paper from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper for the chequered background. I used some scraps to make the ornaments and also the base around the tree. It was only when I was writing the instructions that I realised that I used some retired Real Red Foil paper.
The instructions for the picture can be found on my Tutorials page if you would like to see the supply list and how the tree was made. I hope you find time to make one and would love to know how you get on.
