Welcome to this month’s Global Stampers Blog Hop featuring projects made using our favourite items in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue.
I should add that these are our current favourites as I’m sure that as we see more ideas that we might just change our minds.
You are currently visiting me, Fiona Whitten, so if you hopped forward to here from Ann, back from Robbie or are just starting here, welcome.
You will be able to hop around the five blogs by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of this post. I hope you enjoy our projects and please feel free to leave a comment before you hop onto Robbie.
I have one stamp set and a pack of designer series paper which are clear favourites. This being the case, I decided to use both of them.
I’ve used the Count My Blessings stamp set. I love acorns and of course I’ve called myself Oakfield Crafts, so it’s simply a must have set for me. The designer series paper that I’ve fallen for is called Painted Autumn, and guess what. There are acorns on that too.
I’ve made three cards to share with you.
For this first card I used one of the smaller leafy stamps to stamp a background in Lemon Lime Twist (stamped onto a piece of scrap first) and then stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze over it. The sentiment was cut out using a framelit die from the Lots of Labels and I cut a slightly larger one in Cajun Craze.
You can see from below, that the labels are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and I added some Burlap Ribbon and also some Tangerine Tango enamel dots from the Brights Enamel Shapes.
The second card was made using the flower stamp from the set, and I stamped it in black ink and layered it onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock. I added a piece of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon to the card, which I simply tied in a knot.
This card like the one above was finished off inside with a simple strip of the same designer series paper as the front of the card.
This last card is my absolute favourite. To make the card.
- Start with a Cajun Craze cardbase (21.0 x 14.9 cm, then score and fold at 10.5 cm) and using the acorn stamp, stamp over it in Cajun Craze ink.
- Stamp the acorn again onto some Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out using a square from the Layering Squares Framelits and a slightly larger square from the Stitched Shape Framelits.
- Glue the frame to a square piece of Designer Series Paper which has been glued to a slightly larger piece of Early Espresso.
- Add the stamped Very Vanilla piece at an angle to the frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add the whole front element to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Decorate the inside of the card by stamping another acorn onto a piece of Very Vanilla (10.0 x 14.4 cm) and then glue it into the card.
I hope you have enjoyed visiting my blog today, please don’t forget to leave a comment and let me know which is your favourite card before hopping off.
