This past Saturday we spent a chilly day at the Holme Grange Craft Village. I was so glad that the rain managed to hold off until 30 minutes after getting home.
There were five of us who set up the gazebo and display in the morning and when the event started I headed off to hold demonstrations outside one of the shops in the village.
I left the gazebo in the capable hands of some of my Acorns. They chatted with people, handed out free catalogues and also helped those wanting to do the free Make N Take.

Below is a picture of the Make N Take that people could do. We kept it pretty simple but everyone who made one had fun doing so.
In the early afternoon I was able to return to the gazebo – my three hours (yes three hours) sitting doing demonstrations was done. Thank goodness. It was a lot warmer in the gazebo because we had put the sides on it. Mainly to stop the cards blowing around but it kept out the cold wind that was blowing.
In the late afternoon, my daughter stopped by with our dog, Kylo. I have to admit that he was a huge attraction. Mostly to the little kids although quite a few adults wanted to pet him too.
He’s nearly 2 years old, so is fully grown and only weighs 5.5 lbs, so he’s pretty small. There’s usually a huge debate at classes and team meetings as to who gets to hold him first. He’s pretty spoilt when it comes to cuddles.
The winning name of the Prize Draw has been drawn, and drum roll….
Carol Avery from Wokingham
is the winner. Congratulations Carol.
This is what she has won
I’ll be back tomorrow with another project. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out my Online Store.
