So, it’s the third Tuesday of the month which means that it’s time for a colour challenge.
This week Patricia has the following for us.
I have to confess that the Copper had me a little stumped at first. The question was Copper Thread, Copper Embossing Powder and/or Copper Foil Sheets?
I’ll let you work out for yourself what I went with in the end.
I had fun taking a photo of the card because I didn’t want my reflection in the copper foil sheet.
Brief instructions for the card are as follows:
- Peekaboo Peach base card – A5 (21.0 x 14.9 cm) creased and folded in half at 10.5 cm.
- Dapper Denim mat – 10.0 x 14.4 cm. I used a die from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies to cut the diamond shapes.
- Peekaboo Peach flowers – I used a sheet measuring 5.0 x 14.0 cm and stamped three flowers from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set in Dapper Denim. I then cut these out using the co-ordinating die from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.
- I stamped a sentiment from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set in Dapper Denim onto the Dapper Denim mat – take care to ensure that it does not get hidden by the flowers.
- Glue a piece of Copper Foil Sheet (measuring 5.5 x 10.5 cm) to the back of the Dapper Denim mat so that you can see it through the die cut diamonds.
- Glue the Dapper Denim mat to the card front.
- Glue a couple of the flowers to the card front and then add the third using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Don’t forget to check out all the other projects from the design team and if you fancy having a go the link for your project is at the bottom of the CAS Colours & Sketches blog post.

What a great way to add the cooper in.
Wonderful card. Love the copper behind the diamond cuts!
Wow! So striking, love that die cut background panel!
