One of the things I promised to do the other week was share photos of the Wow swaps that I made and received at the recent OnStage Live event in Amsterdam.
There were just a small group of us taking part and the idea is to make a card or 3D item that makes the recipient say Wow when they receive it.
These are the swaps that I made using the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and the co-ordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies. I’m so pleased that the stamp set and dies are going forward into the new Annual Catalogue. They will still be available to purchase individually, but if you are interested in getting the bundle with a 10% discount do so before 31 May.
Lots of Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper and Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper on both the front and inside too.
I used both Rich Razzleberry (middle photo) and Sweet Sugarplum (bottom) as my card bases and alternated the colours for the dragonflies and designer series paper.
There is an exploding fold on the inside of the card. I had found a photo of another on Pinterest (Pazzles Craft Room), but the pin was for a card made using an SVG file. I simply worked out how to do it myself. I have already added instructions to my Tutorials page – it’s in a different colourway but provides all the information that you need to give it a go.
Here are the fabulous swaps that I received.
The first one is a cute flag book from Lesley Lendon. The idea is that I can add photos from Amsterdam and use it like a small photo album.
The box below was from Charry Wijers. It’s made from one sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and there’s no gluing involved. I think I’m going to have to find a tutorial on how to do this.
This Curvey Keepsakes Box was from Elaine Higham. I was sorry to see the die on this year’s retirement list and not surprisingly they are already sold out.
