the really cute egg boxes that are in the Spring/Summer catalogue? They are the sort of thing that you pass by unless you specifically look for it. I decided to use one as a project for last week’s team training. There were in fact two projects, but this one is my favourite which is why I am sharing it with you.
The box measures 10.2 x 10.2 x 7.0 cm when closed and has 4 small egg compartments.
You don’t have to use it as an Easter project – although it would make a great one.
I kind of went mad with this project because there are in fact nine layers on the box (if you include the ribbon as one).
The basic belly made is made from a strip of paper from the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper and I layered a slightly narrower strip of the Sending Love Glassine Sheet over the top. Both of these are not quite long enough to meet in the middle so they are fix to the bottom of the Whisper White scallop square.
The pretty doily is from the Lace Doilies – these are great because they are Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other.
All the other layers were cut from cardstock using various framelits dies.
I hope you like this project I know that those who came to training did.
Keep back on the blog tomorrow for the lastest CC&S Challenge.
