This is my first official post as part of the Design Team so welcome. As of this month, challenges are now going to be posted weekly on a Tuesday at 1.00 pm (GMT) and they close the following Monday at 11.00 pm (GMT).
This first challenge for 2017 is from Karen and it’s a colour one. I have to admit that I love this combination – it’s so pretty.
I’ve chosen to use one of the stamp sets from the 2017 Spring/Summer Catalogue – So in Love.
To make this card, I stamped the medallion outline on the Whisper White layer so that I had something to “aim” for when stamping the other images. The leaves were then randomly stamped in Soft Sky and the buds in Pink Pirouette.
Once I’d finished the stamping I glued the Whisper White to the Soft Sky base card.
I then stamped another medallion onto a scrap piece of Whisper White. I stamped it in Sweet Sugarplum and then stamped the sentiment in Soft Sky in the centre. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure I stamped the sentiment in the correct place.
The stamped medallion/sentiment was then cut out by hand and added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Of course I also stamped the Whisper White insert too.
