It’s that time of the month for the Global Stampers to share their projects. The theme this month is Christmas is Coming. I know, I know, Christmas is still 4 months away, but it’s never too early to make a start on your Christmas crafting.
Although the fabulous Autumn/Winter Catalogue will be released on 1 September, I thought it might be a good idea to remind people that there are some fabulous Christmas themed products in the Annual Catalogue. I’m going to leave Robbie, Valérie, Alicia and Ann to provide you with sneak peeks of some of the new products. You are going to love them.
Using my Stampin’ Trimmer and some Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler cardstock along with the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Peaceful Pines and Wonderous Wreath stamp sets, I made something to decorate the house. I love my Stampin’ Trimmer because it has both a cutting and scoring blade on it, so need to change blades out.
The plaque (finished size is 22.0 cm x 13.5 cm x 1.0 cm, or if you would prefer inches 8-5/8″ x 5-1/4″ x 3/8″) is designed to stand up like a picture frame but there is no reason why it couldn’t be hung on the wall if you attach some ribbon.
The Garden Green frame is made out of a sheet of A4 cardstock and I simply followed the instructions that I had used before to make a rolled frame (there is a tutorial called Friends & Flowers Box Frame on the Tutorials page). The tutorial is for a much smaller frame but I simply followed the same scoring and cutting instructions as the smaller version.
I love this idea! Your patterned paper choices are perfect. Great way to dress up a mantle during the Christmas Season!
I am having a love affair with the 'three in a row' design at the moment. Your handmade frame is lovely – yet to make one, but it is on my list. Thanks for pointing me in teh direction of the tutorial.
Very beautiful card! Love it!
I love your plaque. Such a simple yet stunning decor piece. Thanks for sharing 🙂
