I’m just back from a 2500 mile trip – 2419.9 miles to be precise. We drove from Jacksonville in Florida to San Diego in California, basically from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. I had hoped to share photos while we were travelling but the internet access was very flaky. I’ll will share some of them soon as I’m hoping to Project Life some of them.
Anyway, I’ve not been able to craft for over a week and couldn’t wait to give the latest CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge a go.
This week it’s a sketch one.
I’m still in the USA so my supplies are rather limited but this is what I managed to come up with.
As you can see, I rotated my card so that it was portrait rather then landscape. I used the Flower Patch stamp set to decorate the oval (the sentiment comes from there too) in some of the 2015-2017 In Colors.
I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the piece of Mint Macaron before running it through my Big Shot with the Fluttering embossing folder. This is a great of incorporating an effect without the need to raise the sentiment.
I also decorated the inside too (there’s a surprise).
No surprise here – I love your take on the sketch! Clean, classy, great colour choice and a gorgeous card overall. Thanks for joining us again at CC&S this week. Caro x
What a nice way to show off all the In Colors. Thanks for sharing your card with us at CC&S!
P.S. I'm impressed that you drove across the entire southern U.S.! Wow!
Thanks Jane, I love the 2015-17 In Colors and will be sad to see them go. At least there's another 10 months to use them!
A really pretty card and I love the colours you've chosen. Thanks for using the sketch from CC&S.
Very pretty! Love the subtle butterfly embossing. Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!
Thanks Karen, missed playing along for a few weeks. Looking forward to the next.
