To celebrate the start of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue a number of the team have got their thinking caps on and joined in the blog hop that I’ve organised.
There are 13 (my lucky number) of us in taking part and I’ve put a list at the bottom of everyone and links to their blogs just in case you let lost.
You may have joined me from Fiona Harris’s blog – Stamping with Fiona. Or, this may be your first port of call. Either way, welcome.
Just so you know, there are three Fiona’s taking part but it’s really not obligatory to be called that if you wanted to take part.
If you want to go back and check Fiona H’s fabulous project again, please click on the following button.
Anyway, without further ado here are the projects that I’ve made. They feature the Love & Affection stamp set and also the fabulous Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper (DSP).
This first card is a drapery/curtain fold card. They are pretty easy to do once you have worked out all the measurements and I will get the tutorial for this up on the tutorial page in the next couple of days. Promise. UPDATE – it’s now on the Tutorials page.
I love this pack of DSP but haven’t yet got the courage to cut up the sheets with the gold foil in. In any event, the foiled sheets are single sided so would not be suitable for this effect. They are lovely though.
The second card is also a little different from the norm, but you only really notice it when the card is open. I’ve seen a few of this type of card on Pinterest but they are usually stamped where the cut out is. I of course decided to be a little more different.
I had to fussy cut the flower and leaves. It’s not that difficult and pretty quick to do.
Details of the products I used for these cards are as follows:
When you are ready, you can click on the following and hop to Cary and Gill’s blog (2 Big Girls Crafting) and check out their fabulous projects.

Love the cards, especially the pleated paper one, so good to be able to see both sides of such pretty papers!
Love what you've created with this stamp set. The curtain fold is really clever, showing both designs.
Thanks Jay. I'm in the process of writing a tutorial but having a little issue of getting the pdf up on the blog.
Gorgeous cards, I wasn't going to buy that DSP but I might have to now! x
Another paper hoarder in the making. x
Ooooh I LOVE that little card in Night of Navy with the cut out front – very clever!
Thanks Pip. Thought it nice to try something a little different.
What a fab idea that half front card is ! The possibilities are limitless. …. hope you don't mind if I case this one 😉 thanks for sharing 😊 xx
Case away Cary, no problem at all and glad you like it. x
Your first card almost looks a little oriental Fiona!
Particularly love the second card, love everything about it.x
Thanks, Lesley. x
Cant wait for the tutorial Fiona. I love the navy cards, very classy. FionaH
I think 'Fiona' must be a particularly crafty name! I love the curtain fold, and having the fussy cut flower on the second project is a lovely adaption. Thank you for inviting us onto the blog hop, really enjoying it.
These are lovely Fiona, I still haven't had the courage to cut up the gold and copper ones ! These are very effective at showing off the DSP in a good light as for me I find it too fussy as 12×12, but much nicer in small portions!
My mission this week is to cut it up! I'll post a photo of the project just as soon as I've wiped away the tears.
Lovely projects Fiona, love the colours in the paper and really like the different design in the second card; something unique and very effective!
Thanks, the second design is so versatile. I can see my using it quite a bit. x
