These projects are something I’ve wanted to do with one of the long single stamps for sometime. It involves using the same stamp with three different shades of the same colour (in this case brown). My twist is that I wanted to show it being used in slightly different ways. It’s all to do with the placement, as you will see.
In theory, you should change the placement as many times as you want and I could have made far more cards, but to be honest I ran out of time. Hopefully you get the idea though.
I’m using the Moroccan Nights stamp set and decided to keep in the neutral zone and use Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Tip Top Taupe ink. My card base is Early Espresso and everything is stamped onto Very Vanilla.
Here’s a closer look at the three cards.
For the card above, I kept the images at the left-hand side of the card and interlocked them (again). Left to Right is Early Espresso, middle Soft Suede and Tip Top Taupe. The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso.
For this last card, I kept the images at the bottom of the card and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to effectively join them. The colours from bottom to top are Early Espresso, Soft Suede and then Tip Top Taupe. The sentiment is in Early Espresso.
The number of cards you can make using just this one stamp, three ink pads and some other stamps for sentiments is endless. Well, probably not, but given you can make them landscape or portrait, stamped at the top or bottom or either side, interlock or join the image… I think you get the picture. I’m not brave enough to count the permutations but there are lots.
