Last night was team training. This meant I had 8 of my team come over for a little bit of training and of course some crafting too.
The current catalogue ends on 31 May (don’t forget to check out the Retirement List), so we are all getting ready for the start of the new catalogue. Pre-orders have been made and lovely new products are now sitting on our crafting tables.
Instead of making swaps I asked those coming to simply make one thing to share with the others. The only requirement was that it should be made using some of the new products.
This is what I made.
I started with an A4 piece of Night of Navy which I cut down to 8″ x 8″. I then used the 8″ x 8″ piece of cardstock to make a rolled frame. Before I glued the frame together I added a piece of the new Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper. The finished frame measures 4″ x 4″ so it’s not exactly huge, but it is cute.
The greeting and flower used to decorate the inside of the frame come from the new Love & Affection stamp set. I love the fact that all these new products co-ordinate.
Both the paper and the stamp set will be available come 1 June.
I used some of the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape to decorate the sides of the frame.
As you can see from the bottom picture, the frame has a stand. This was made with the left over cardstock from the A4 sheet. I simply cut a piece about 3″ x 3-1/4″ (width x height) and scored it 3/4″ from the top. I then glued the smaller piece above the score line to the back of the frame making sure that the bottom of the cardstock was level with the bottom of the frame.
I hope you like this and I’ll be back soon with some more sneak peeks. In the meantime, don’t forget to check out the retirement list because come 1 June items on it will no longer be available.
