On Sunday I posted one of the projects I made using the new Sleigh Ride Edgelit Dies so I thought I would share a number of other projects made using them this week.
It’s not often that I make a square card but I had an idea and it seemed to work best that way.
The card front on this project measures 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ which means that you can cut the 5-1/2″ x 11″ needed out of a piece of A4 card stock and have a little left over.
The centre piece spins on a length of Gold Metallic Thread that’s fixed under the Night of Navy frame by Fast Fuse. Like Sunday’s card, the white centre piece was using using the Sleigh Ride Die from Shimmery White card stock.
The sky was made using an Aqua Painter and some ink picked up from the lid of the Night of Navy Ink Pad. The colour was simply brushed onto the Shimmery White card stock and left to dry. Once dry I then stamped the stars in Night of Navy.
I have to admit that the card is a little more complicated to make than the one posted on Sunday but I love the spinning effect, so I think it is well worth the effort. Before you ask, the back is decorated the same way.
