A very quick post this morning as I’m off to a training day that I’ve helped organise for some of the local Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.
As promised, this is the third project made this week featuring some of Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Vellum. Today, it’s the turn of the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack. This is a stunning pack of vellum made up of 6″ x 6″ sheets – 36 in total. You get 3 each of 6 designs in black and 3 each of 6 designs in gold. The 6″ x 6″ size is great for cards but I wanted to do something a little different so I decided to make a wall hanging – not a huge one but something that I can give as a small gift to a friend.
This is what I made.
Don’t let the picture fool you because the frame I used is only large enough for a 7″ x 5″ photo or in this case gold paper. You can’t quite see the edge of it in the photo. On top of this I matted some Night of Navy card stock and then the piece of gold vellum. I glued the vellum to the card stock using the new Fine Tip Glue Pen – it’s so fine that you can hide the glue behind the design on the vellum.
I love the pine cones and leaves on this piece but I wanted to keep the greeting in the centre really simple.
The greeting comes from the A Little Something stamp set and I stamped it in Memento Ink onto a piece of Soft Sky card stock. All the circles were cut out using the Circles Framelit Dies and were adhered to each other using dimensionals.
You may notice from the photo that there is no glare. I took the glass front out and as yet I’m undecided on whether to put it back in again. I quite like it without.
I have a few more of these frames hidden away in my craft studio so I think that tomorrow is going to be busy making some more of these pictures, using different vellum of course.
